ASHEVILLE, N.C., September 3, 2026. Farrington Development LLC today released OpenOcti, the open-source edition of the Command Center the company built and runs its own business on. The source code is public at github.com/carlucci001/open-octi under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, and the project home is openocti.com. OpenOcti is free, runs on the user's own server, and is community-supported.
The Command Center is the operating console behind Farrington Development: a CRM with leads, pipelines, accounts, contacts, opportunities, projects, tasks, documents, calendar, and campaigns; an agent lane with Agent Labs, a Sandbox, a Harness, an orchestration designer, and a Leads Lab; voice paths for a telephone receptionist; document drafting and built-in e-signature; and a Platform Admin API and SDK. OpenOcti ships all of it, organized as six module groups with more than fifty modules on one data spine.
Installation is three lines: clone the repository, copy .env.example to .env, and run docker compose up. The CRM works with no AI provider configured. Adding a single Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or OpenRouter key in Settings enables the AI staff without a restart. A plain Node.js installation path is documented for servers without Docker, and prebuilt container images are published to the GitHub Container Registry.

The current release is OpenOcti 1.1.0, published September 3, 2026, which adds a guided first-run experience and the Octi onboarding agent. Releases are tagged on GitHub and documented in the repository's guides, which cover first run, model providers, the voice receptionist, e-signature, documents, running on a VPS, and upgrading.
OpenOcti is community-supported. Questions go to GitHub Discussions and reproducible bugs to GitHub Issues; there is no service-level agreement. Organizations that want the Command Center installed and operated for them, with the client portal and concierge, the integrated research desk, payments and checkout, and managed support, can use Octi CC, the commercial edition, at octicc.com. Commercial licensing is available for uses outside the AGPL.
